Just like all runners, I love goal setting. There is something about setting a goal and planning ways to achieve that goal that I really love. This year, I decided that I was going to take on the goal of running 2,015 miles in the year 2015. It sounded like a cool idea that would keep me motivated throughout the year. So, I posted my goal on Facebook, the place where all official goals get announced. There's no turning back now!
The thing is, I committed to the miles before really doing the math. It ends up being about 5.6 miles a day, no big deal. Or, 40 miles a week...seems like a bigger deal. When I trained for my first marathon, I maxed out at 40 miles a week. Now I'm going to have to keep that same volume up All. Year. Long. Keep checking in to see how it's going!
